MEET THE COACHES

Jimmy Webb

Jimmy Webb is not one of the world's strongest and most accomplished boulderers by mistake. He is obsessive about every aspect of the sport, from the details of body positioning and footwork, to the ins-and-outs of strengthening his fingers to climb v16. Jimmy's understanding of movement and his ability to spot the changes needed in other climbers' technique is unparalleled.

Hannah Donnelly

Coach Hannah Donnelly is an accomplished athlete at just 25 years old. From handling the stress of international competition, to coming back from multiple back surgeries, to climbing V12, Hannah has a wide range of experience with the sport that allows her to connect with a variety of climbers. Hannah is a technician on the rock and she encourages those she coaches to find success by moving in a way that feels natural to them.

Zach Fletcher

Do you remember when you where a kid and thought anything was possible...Zach is still that kid. Helping others make their impossible, possible is one of Zach talents and passions in life. That and searching out new crags deep in the hills that surround his home in Lake Tahoe.

  • Water bottle & thermos
  • Positivity and stoke!

What food is included? Well balanced breakfast and dinner plus trail snacks.

Can you supply meals for a  paleo, vegan, carnivor, or other restricted diet? Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate the vast variety of healthy but restricted eating styles. We will offer balanced meals using quality ingredients.

Can I bring my dog? Yes, but only under very specific guidelines and after you have been cleared by the administration.

  1. Your furry friend is under voice command 100% of the time. Meaning, he/she will not chase a squirrel across the road if you tell them not to. AKA, a very well trained dog who listens and obeys.
  2. Your dog has not and will not bite or fight with other dogs.
  3. Your dog is person, child, and dog friendly.
  4. You are willing to leave the retreat immediately if your dog creates any issue deemed unsafe by the staff.
  5. You are not allowed to leave your dog at the camp so he/she must be travel with us. Including long hikes.

Please contact Zach if would like to bring your doggy.

Will I receive one-on-one coaching? Yes, absolutely. Our mission is to help you become a better climber by assessing exactly the qualities of climbing you can improve.

Can I rent my own room? Yes, you can. There is a single upgrade possible for the couple or group that would like the rustic luxury of a private path, shower, living room, refrigerator, and two bedrooms.

Can I sleep in my van or RV? Yes, absolutely. The grounds are perfect for both van and RV boondocking. There will not be hook ups for vans or rv’s.

Do I need to bring bouldering pads? Only if you want. We will have a grip of foam.

Should I bring a sleeping bag? Yes, bring your own bedding including pillow.

I boulder V3/4, is this retreat a good value for me? 100%, we pride ourselves on the ability to help all levels of climbers excel and progress. Most bouldering areas will have a wide variety of grades.

I boulder double digits. Is his retreat for me?  Absolutely, there is no better way to climb Tahoe’s toughest problems than with the people who developed them.

I have climbed the same grade for several years, could this experience help me back that plateau? All climbers will face this challenge at some point in their career. Yes, we will help identify the exact challenges holding you back. We will put our combined 50 years of climbing and coaching experience to work for you.

Is transportation included? No, you will need to supply your own transportation to Lake Tahoe as well as to the training center and bouldering crags. We will do our best to carpool when traveling together around Lake Tahoe.

Can I tent camp? Yes, the grounds are perfect for tent camping but October in Lake Tahoe can get quite cold. The price is the same for our dorm style accommodations as it is for the tent camping so we suggests taking us up on the warmer option.

What is the minimum age? Good question. This retreat is catered to adults. The minimum age is 18 unless accompanied by an adult in which a very stoked and fired up 15 year old can join.

Is there a discount for locals who only want to join the climbing and training portion but do not need room and board? Yes, contact Zach.

Is there a discount for couples? No, there is no discount for families or friends who come together.

I can only attend part of the retreat. Can I prorate my participation? Unfortunately, No, because creating a fun and safe environment for climbers to progress takes time and effort so we ask all the participants to attend all the days and events.
